Right ventricular pacing induced cardiomyopathy and heart failure is common in patients receiving a high degree of ventricular pacing. It may also be preventable or treatable through the use of conduction system pacing (CSP) or biventricular pacing for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in patients with left ventricular (LV) dysfunction.
In this interview, Gaurav A. Upadhyay, MD, FACC, FHRS and Joseph Marine MD, MBA, FACC, with Carlos E. Vargas, DO, discuss RV Pacing Induced Cardiomyopathy: Mechanisms, Predictors and Management.
